The MH-325 is the higher-resolution variant, featuring a 384*288px detector, 25mm lens, and 4x Electronic Zoom.
The MH-325 uses an internal, rechargeable battery that requires the unit to be plugged into a power source for charging. Batteries cannot be replaced in the field. If anything, this is the one drawback to the system because a fully-charged unit will have about 5 hours of battery life. The MH325 is a great option for law enforcement officers and civilians who want a highly-portable, lightweight, yet powerful thermal imaging device.
MH325 allows detection of animals out to about 500m. Resolution is crisp and allows you to see definition in the gray scale. Also included is MH’s proprietary “Instalert” mode that shades moving objects in red. We were able to literally, plug and play with the MH325. The pictograms on the buttons are no-brainers and a quick look at them allowed us to get started. The housing is comfortable to hold and extremely lightweight.
