This parameter is the ratio of image are to noise area on micro channel plate (MCP). The higher is the ratio indicated smaller noise area produced by micro channel plate, the cleaner is the image. If SNR reach 25, the device is nice. The devices is awesome when SNR reach 30.

2. Resolution

The unit of resolution is lp/mm (lines per millimetre). At the same time, the high is the resolution, the cleaner is the image. Value below 57lp/mm is low standard. 64lp/mm is American military night vision devices standard. 72lp/mm devices is marvelous.

3. FOM

FOM(figure of merit) is a comprehensive parameter of night vision devices which equips to resolution value multiply SNR(signal to noise).
