5. Sensitivity

When the refrigerated infrared thermal imager is working, the refrigerator works first to reduce its own temperature, so that it has higher sensitivity, higher precision, smaller error and wider detection temperature range when detecting other objects. When the uncooled infrared thermal imager is working, the sensitivity and accuracy will be worse, especially the non-uniformity of the uncooled infrared focal plane array has a greater impact on the measurement error.

6. Application scenarios

In the military field, the structure of the uncooled infrared thermal imager system is greatly simplified, the reliability, resolution and detection sensitivity are improved, and the cost is reduced. The infrared reconnaissance system using infrared focal plane array can effectively detect and track targets at long distances and under harsh conditions. The uncooled thermal imaging system is very suitable for the army's light weapons, as individual reconnaissance, night driving, light weapon sights, etc.
