What is UAV?

UAV is short for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

Currently, there are approximately 48,000 drones in the world. It can now be asserted that drones will dominate the human sky in the next 20 to 50 years.

UAVs do not require pilots to drive in the cabin, and the entire flight process is automatically completed under the control of electronic equipment. There is no need to install any pilot-related equipment on the drone, which can free up space and weight for more important equipment. In addition, there is no need to worry about pilot casualties when using drones. The concept of unmanned combat aircraft (UCAV) will increase tactical deterrence for advanced air power at a much lower life-cycle cost than manned systems. The United States plans to use UCAV weapon systems as an integral part of the post-2010 military structure and initial combat goals. It is an organic supplement to the manned aircraft, supporting the attack plan by controlling it to perform the suppression of enemy air defense (SEAD) missions in a safe area. On the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2002, the U.S. military used the Tier-2 Predator unmanned aircraft to launch the Haierfa air-to-surface missile to the al-Qaeda convoy. UAV and UCAV will undoubtedly become a hot spot for aircraft development in the future.
