The MHNV-AS15 Handheld Anti-Surveillance Optical Detector is a portable optical reconnaissance device designed to identify hidden cameras, telephoto lenses, and optical sights in outdoor security, perimeter patrol, and law-enforcement scenarios.

By emitting a controlled near-infrared beam and analyzing the "cat-eye" retro-reflection returned from optical glass surfaces, the device pinpoints concealed observation equipment that is invisible to the naked eye. Combined with a 1500m eye-safe laser rangefinder, sub-0.5° angle measurement, and target positioning, the operator can immediately locate,range, and report the suspect target.

The device features a dual-OLED binocular display, variable magnification visible-light + near-IR observation, and supports video/image capture and playback. It runs on a single 18650 Li-ion battery with >4h standby and >1h continuous laser detection, fitting easily in a tactical vest or shoulder bag.

Q1: Is the laser eye-safe?

A: Yes. Both the rangefinder and IR pointer comply with eye-safe class limits (pointer ≤ 5mW, near-IR wavelength).

Q2: Does it work at night?

A: It operates in low-light conditions using its near-IR active illumination, but is not a thermal imager. For full-darkness use we recommend the MHNV-AS40 Pro with image-enhancement modes.

Q3: Can the detection result be wrong?

A: Cat-eye reflection is highly specific to optical glass surfaces. False positives may occur from large polished surfaces (mirrors, glass facades); operator interpretation is required.

Q4: What sizes of optics can it detect?

A: Reflective lenses ≥ 40 mm aperture, including most telephoto camera lenses and optical scopes, up to 1500 m in clear weather.

Q5: OEM/ODM available?
